Hi, I am thinking of buying a couple of tall thin shrubs to punctuate my perennial garden. Writers talk about them being like punctuation points in a garden. I know one of the Ilexes, 'Sky Pencil' serves this function. Has anyone had experience with this or know of another shrub that will do the same thing? I think I have also seen very thin fruit trees in the gardening catalogs for small space gardens. I think they have the same look. Has anyone had experience with them? Do they actually bear fruit? Thanks.
