    I almost missed this little beauty. Where I post my sightings he said it was an unusual spot for one..

    I think your lovely butterfly knew you had your camera with you and decided to pose for you. He/she certainly looks very pretty against the purple of your flowers. :-D

    Yes great shots Sherry. It must have been asleep. How close were you? It doesn't seem disturbed at all.

    kuntrygal...I was just a couple feet away. I think butterflys have such good hearing that when I try to get close to a Monarch, etc. they fly away....the trick is to hold still and that is hard when you have 2 dogs running around.
