You shouldn't mess with the Wee Folk and their friends http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/u ... 592514.ece
It's nice to know that developers don't have it all their own way!!! Good for Perthshire council's planning department. The National Park (and its fairies) live to fight another day.
Thats a great story.I read it with a smile on my face just thinking those people trying to stop big contractors and did it is amazing.Yep ,as Eileen the Fairies and National Park lives to fight another day
There is a fairy ring in a field beside my parent's home in Ireland. That patch of land has always freaked me out although I'm not sure why. Perhaps it was just my parents' telling me that neighbours had said they'd seen weird stuff there. I'm not superstitious by nature but I would leave it alone more out of respect.
I saw that when walking around Lake Harriet. I didn't know why it was there, but found it fascinating. Thanks for the explanation, ER
FAE-1:BUILDER-0 Hi, Toni; Great story, thank you for posting it. I'll expose my cynicism a little by commenting that 'BUILDER's' error was failure to bribe appropriate council members well enough as any U.S. builder would have done as a matter of course. E R 's story in reply is also great; they both tend to renew one's faith in the innate goodness of human nature. lol...........Hank
I'm with Eileen...it's nice to know developers don't always have it all their own way. Frank, I have fairy rings on part of my lawn. I always find it strange that my dog is afraid of it!
