Wow, Jewell. Your garden is still so beautiful. I have to focus on re bloomers so I can have more flowers late. I do have some still but not like you do. Thank you for sharing. Every time a Stewbie shares these things I learn more and more. I do have flowers out there but they are few and far between and mostly purple.
Most of the flowers in my garden are dying back now that September is here. It's a real pleasure to see so many lovely and colourful blooms from your garden Jewell. :-D
So pretty! I have been looking for Anemones everywhere and can't seem to find any. I have one more place to look locally, then I'm not sure what to do. DO they grow easily from seed?
Thanks all, I am glad you enjoyed the flowers. It is because of others beautiful photos of blooms that I now have the diversity of plants that I have. Netty, I think that the japanese anenome does start from seed easily. I have four tubers that I moved this spring that were self sown (in between the pavers). Some people i've talked to don't like to grow them because of their reseeding them selves, but I hadn't had much of a problem. Besides I can always think of a place to plant them.
Great looking fall bloomers! I'm hoping some my stuff will rebloom if/when we get some cooler temps. Plus I planted some things that only bloom during the fall... getting anxious to see if they do and if I like them.
Cherylad, what kind of fall bloomers have you got started? I am always looking to Stewbies to give me ideas. Always looking forward to seeing your garden
Stunning flowers, Jewell. You must be over the moon. It is great that some are blooming for a second time, but the richness of those colours are just splendid.
Thanks Sjoerd. I was surprised this week-end to see the phlox covered in blooms again. Can't believe how the clumps have started to really mature. Guess next year I will have to divide a couple of the pink ones :-D
Hi Jewell,..lovely Fall blooms,..i like your Dahlia,..while i still have mine in bloom alas my Clematis are finished,..no reblooming here. Your Anenomes,..and Fall Crocus,.. are a beautiful sight to see.
Thanks Philip, I love those easy, no care plants (fall crocus and anenomes). The 80F weather ended today, so things will probably start shutting down soon. The dahlias are in pots so I am getting anxious to store them. It has been an unusual and long summer here. The Midwest got our summer rains
Way good, Jewell--What a success story. I certainly do like phlox. I was surprised to learn of how dry it has been there. I always think of your area as a moist one. Ach wel--as long as you enjoy it, then all is well. I want to say again how much I enjoyed this posting.
