I mowed the yard this morning and noticed that the leaves on the walnut trees are turning yellow and starting to drop. They are always the first to turn here. A lot of walnuts on the ground too. And the squirrels are really cutting on them too. Only a few acorns on the ground that the squirrels have cut down.

Not a single sign of Fall down here. I'm so ready for it, too!

No real change here yet either - at least not in the garden. I need another few weeks yet before autumn settles in.

I have one branch on a maple tree that turned fall colors, some other trees have a few yellow leaves, not many.

I have leaves turning colors too but it's because they are dead. Also, the ground is becoming littered with pecans but they are small, black, empty hulls.
Can I have some of your fall like weather????

Very glad that someone sees fall in their future, I just might have to come for a visit, Capt.

Toni... our pecan trees have been dropping small, still-green, nuts for weeks now. There won't be any home-picked pecans for Christmas treats this year.

Fall is coming here, too. The nights are cool, as in the 50's and very wet in the mornings. The crickets are chirping continuously...very noisy! Weeds are going to seed exponentially, even as I type this.

    Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhoooooooooooooooooooooo! I love fall and winter... :) :smt026 :setc_005:

Well, leaves are beginning to fall here. Sumac and sassafrass are the first ones to turn red around here. The nights are back down in the 60s, so it wont be long now... :D

I can feel a hint of fall in the air. Fall is my favorite season but it took so long for summer to get here I'm not ready for it to be over  I can really tell fall is here when my autumn crocus pop up and I haven't seen them yet :stew1: Probably won't be long though
