The locust and walnuts have started to turn yellow and the leaves are falling like crazy. The sugar maple that was such a pretty orange last year has't turned yet. It is one of the last ones to turn. Tonight we are supposed to be getting storms with strong winds and possibly some severe storms. So most of my trees will probably be nekid by morning!

I remember that sugar maple Capt, great to think that we have that to look forward to this year! I barely noticed that trees were getting naked until a leaf hit me in the face the other day :D

When we were in Northeast Arkansas last week, the leaves were firmly attached to the trees, but certainly had a tinge of yellow to them. I love fall color. Wish we had some down here.

My favourite azalea has already turned red.

My Virginia creeper is definately 'on the turn' too. I do love autumn colours but feel a little sad that everything will soon be bare.

I have vine maples, dogwood and poplars turning - and plenty of color all up and down our street. Beautiful! So far no strong winds - here's hoping it stays calm so we can enjoy it even longer.
