One of my Autumn Joy beds. One of my Fall Asters. The other Aster Lunch Time ! The other Autumn Joy. This one is more in the shade, so it is a few weeks behind the other one that is in the sun.
The Aster in the 2nd. pic was trimmed back about mid June. It is more full that the one in the 1st pic, that was not trimmed at all.
I love Autumn Joy. It's so easy to grow and it spreads like wildfire. I didn't know you could put it in the shade, tho. I have an area that only gets maybe three hours morning sun. Maybe I will try some there....
We have had so much rain this summer and fall, we actually have spring grass coming up. Usually it is brown and done growing by now.
We had hardley any bees last year, but they are coming back this year. I have no hives near me, so these have to be wild ones.
