Great looking family and it's nice that they come to visit. But I know what you mean about visits....sometimes you want to stand in the middle of the living room and say "Love you all, sorry you have to leave so soon, have a safe trip. goodbye"

    Thanks KK.

Toni, I am so used to being by myself. The noise level about drove me crazy. My mom and her husband repeat them selve 100 time a day and I was beginning to feel like a blubbering idot repeating myself to them. Yesterday could'nt get here fast enough. When the train pulled out of the station it was instant relief.

Donna, I'm sure your family enjoyed their visit with you to the hilt!
However, I sympathize about the noise level and probably tripping over someone every time you turned around. That's why our nearest relatives are about 800 miles away, and that's the nearest ones!
Absence (and distance) makes the heart grow fonder. :smt054

Jane, All these people live 800 - 900 miles away and they still found me. My daughter and family will be living in Virginia in about 3 weeks. I love the fact that they can come visit and go home the same day.

Donna, I understand the noise thing. Today I about hollered at my dear husband for the noise the blower fan makes in the greenhouse. It is driving me crazy!!!!!and he says "noises really bother you, don't they?"..... REALLY!!!???!!! Otherwise I wouldn't ask you to do something about the noise!!!! He just tunes the noise out. I don't understand how he can do that....It just clatters around in my head. He is the musical one and plays the piano and organ, can't stand if something is off pitch out of tune or just not right in the music, but the constant noisy nonsense he just doesn't hear. I used to sit at/with my Grandma and we didn't say a thing and it was OKay with us both, I rubbed her feet and she just enjoyed the being together, My Dad NEVER shuts up. I would never know they were related, really.

Donna I can sense your relief way over here. My husband and I have three children and when they all visit at the same time it's like Bedlam here. I dolove them to bits but am sooo grateful when they leave to go home. I can take a few hours of them being here but after that my nerves start to jangle and I get a headache.

It's so comforting to know others are bothered by incessant conversation, or noise.
My husband's niece came to visit. She talked for seven straight hours--no exaggeration. The girl had nothing interesting to say and kept repeating it!
I was exhausted when she and her husband left. I think he is a deaf mute.

Jane, I think we are the normal ones!!!! All that noise is just unnecessary. concerts???? No Way! How can anyone hear when they are done there. HOW do the musicians stand it? do they all wear hearing protectors of some kind? But the incessant talking that needs no response and then the "whats wrong, are you mad at me?" since I didn't need to answer a statement???!?!?!?!?!?
