My wife commented that we have a bunch of fat squirrels in the yard. So I said I wonder why? They spend every waking moment on the ground under the bird feeder eating fallen sunflower seeds! We have one that has gotten so big, he waddles when he walks. I need to find low fat seeds! He is bound to have cholesterol problem.

Greedy little devils aren't they? Strangely enough I haven't seen much of the squirrels around here lately although there's plenty of food around. Maybe they've decided it's too cold for them and they've decided to stay safe and warm in their dreys.

:D I can't believe that a squirrel is so fat unless you post a photo, Capt. On the other hand you've probably got the most spoilt squirrels in all of North America, so I might believe you after all.

This guy was skinny about a month ago....they can get very chubby when there is unlimited food! My squirrels will be on a crash diet as of March. The inlaws go back to the UK and they won't get fed all the time!
