What are your favourite tv shows guys and gals? They are a good indicator of a person's personality I reckon. Here are some of mine off the top of my head: - The Office (soooo good) - Alan Partidge - Doctor WHO (it's back wahey!) - Fawlty Towers - Monty Python - Starsky and Hutch There are lots more but I can't think of them right now. As you can probably tell I love British comedies!
Fawlty Towers was a classic wasn't it? On the comedy side I also liked Mr Bean, (cracked me up ) Some Mother Do 'Ave 'em, Waiting for God, Yes Minister and The Good Life. Now I tend to watch things like Animal Hospital, Traffic Cops and Air Sea Rescue. Apart from wildlife programmes I can honestly say that I don't find much to attract me to watching television these days. I did, however, enjoy the real life 'Vets' in Practice.' I've never been a "soap" fan and therefore would fail miserably in any competition to do with Coronation Street, East Enders, Neighbours or the like. Oh, nearly forgot I also like 'Ground Force' although it was much better when Alan Titchmarsh was in it.
Think I will too. Springwatch has to be there at the top even although it only lasted for three weeks. Looking forward to autumnwatch now. I actually enjoyed a 'soap' type series that was on until recently - 'Desperate Housewives' and now I'm hooked on the new series of 'Prisoner cell block H.' That's about it as I try to limit my TV watching especially during the summer months.
Prisoner Cell Block H, I used to love that show. I used to watch it late night on ITV, this was in the middle of the 90s. All I remember now is ladies in prison wearing dungarees (accurate description?) Deperate Housewives is harmless, very watchable but hardly brilliant. in the same league as the Sopranos I reckon. I watch a lot of Letterman and Leno these days, strangely soothing TV
BUMP! Thought I would bring this topic back to life because we have many more members now Just read my last post. About my Desperate Housewives comment... I love that show now. It's cleverly written and very well put together. Since last activity in this topic I have become addicted to Deal or No Deal on Channel 4 in the UK. I think our US members can see it on NBC.
From the Brits my favorites are Rosemary and Thyme Mulberry......they stopped production in mid story darn it but what they aired I have on VHS Good Neighbors........aka The Good Life in UK Dr. Who.....but only the Tom Baker ones and I have them all on VHS Keeping Up Appearances....nooooo, it's Bouquet Upstairs, Downstairs We do not have cable, not many TV shows we like anyway so why pay a bundle to find out there are lots more of the same...but I do like House..with Brit Hugh Laurie NUMB3RS.....and yes I know there is a 3 instead of E that's the title of the show Globe Trekker NCIS....love Abbie

Hi Toni , Robert Vaughan is on very good drama series on BBC called Hustle , he is showing his age very well , which is what we are not doing you can always tell a persons age by the tv shows they watched as kids ( I have fond memories of them all) Lots of people remember where they were when the one armed man was caught on the Fugitive .
Randal and Hopkirk deceased, but the original. Are you being served, love John Humphries! Anything will Bill Oddie, except the Goodies!! Nature shows, especially about bugs. Midsummer Murders. The Royal and Heartbeat are my Sunday night, end of the weekend, sitting in front of the box, eating tea and relaxing! That's it really. We don't watch a lot of TV - the kids watch their shows like SpongeBob and PowerRangers, but we tend to watch the discovery type channels, or the music channels, especially Kerrang. Don't follow soaps and have trouble keeping up with any thing that is on over a few weeks.
