On our way home from San Antonio, we stopped at the vet's clinic where Feliz was boarding to pick up our darling cat. The vet said Feliz could stay anytime--no yelling, no stress, and when the vet brought her four year old daughter who wasn't feeling well to the clinic, Feliz purred and rubbed against the enclosure until the child sat down and petted her. The cat was happy, the child felt better, and the vet is so grateful (but not enough to drop boarding charges!). Sometimes when you try to raise them right, it works! Feliz is now making sure we remember who is in charge, who gets to lay on the bed, and who needs to be catered to. Yes, Feliz is back home!
Welcome back home to Feliz and her loyal subjects. Did you two have a good time? Isn't the River Walk pretty? We haven't been since they did a lot of work on it several years ago but we enjoyed what there was then.
I hope your vacation was enjoyable, cats and people are one happy family again. Did the chickens miss you? Jerry
Feliz and her servants have returned from their excursion... and, hopefully, all is well at Red Gate Farm..
Returning from a holiday never feels quite right until all family members are together again. So glad you're reunited with Feliz and I hope both parties had a lovely vacation.
Thank y'all for the kind words! Yes, Feliz is very happy to be home and in command (as if she ever was not!). Toni, you and Randy must visit San Antonio--the Riverwalk is wonderful with great restaurants, the new Museum Reach walk (just over a mile) and the access to the King William District (the folks there have wonderful gardens). Jerry, no, the hens did not miss us. We had a good neighbor visiting them twice a day, and chickens' affections are to the person with the food dish. Ann, our neighbor, took care of the hens and the ladies seemed to easily switch loyalties. I am trying to weasel my way back into their affections.
