It was a cold, wet, and windy day yesterday. The weather forecast for the night called for freezing temperatures so I thought I would see if there was anything left to pick out in the veggie garden. Was I in for a surprise!

3 types of tomatoes (still green), 2 types of kale, 2 small peppers, 1 small fennel, some leeks, basil, mint, and some catnip!

That's a good haul for this time of year Netty. :-D We've just dug up the last of our potatoes. Next year we'll plant double the amount as home grown veggies taste wonderful compared to shop bought.

I was quite surprised to have found so much to bring in! The green tomatoes I will let ripen, and the kale has already been cooked up German style the way my mother did it. The mint is drying for tea, and the leeks were cleaned and will be used this week. There are more Leeks out in the garden too.
