The last rain we had was about an inch the 1st week of July. We did get about 15 minutes of a shower this evening. It wasn't much, but it filled one barrel almost full and the other one about 3/4 full. They are saying more rain the end of this week, if Fay ever works it's way up north.
You have a little rain - I have a little sun. How about we do a swap for a while as it's going to be raining here for the next few days again? They say it's the wettest August here since the 1940's so there'd be plenty to share.
It is supposed to get up here on Wed. They say a 50% chance then. I could use 2 or 3 imches in a nice slow rain. My friends in Georgia said that they got 3 inches yesterday and a little more today.
It has been steady doing it here since about 12:45 PM today. . . it started hard at first, but is a steady soaking rain now . . . . I am sure you will get it, if i don't get it all first.
The weather report on the local news tonight said a 60% chance of rain for Wed. They way they showed it, it should rain about all day. And then some more coming on Friday.
Great news Capt! I'm glad you got some rain. We have finally had a few days of sunshine here and my puddles have dried up for the first time since spring.
We're still in need of rain here, too. All of my trees/shrubs/perennials are brown and crispy. Doubt that Fay will make it this far north, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Happy for the rest of you!
Glad to hear about your rain! It's ferociously windy here, in fact the news just reported a tornado north of me! What a crazy weather year!
