Great day! Got rid of 16 pond fish (they got smart and won't let me catch any more), lots of water lilies (pond semi cleaned) and a car load of plants. Gave away another two big bags of strawberry starts,so didn't have to compost any.

Then I went out and picked up two more blueberry plants. The back door got cleaned up, ornamental grasses divided and repotted. Even scattered a few poppy seeds, and planted up a few dozen jiffy pots. It was wonderful finally getting some sunshine, a some warm weather. I was energized and it felt like spring for the first time this week-end.

There is still snow on the low hills. No water worries here this summer with the snow pack being the best in years. Our frosty nights will be around for quite a while yet. Still time to divide and move perennials. :stew1:

I'm so glad the weather has improved for you. Now let's hope it stays that way so that you can continue to play in the dirt. :-D

Sounds like you got a lot accomplished. It is so much easier to work outside if there is sunshine. Clouds just don't inspire me  Hope you get lots more.

    Hi Jewell,
you surely can stand back and admire the progress,..and you accomplished a huge amount of work,..and comforting to know there will be lots of water for you the coming summer.

Did you get a Pet Shop to take the 16 pond fish or find someone who would house/pond them,..lol at how difficult it can be to catch them,

    .

I'm saving the goldfish dinner for the apocalypse Bunkie we had our third day in a row without snow, wind or hail or rain! Didn't get quite as warm in the south sound area, but still really nice after all the cold windy wet weather. I thought you always had sunshine on your side of the mountains. Sorry no pics this time.

Carolyn, cloudy days are our sunny days, :D rainy days are our cloudy days. Cold windy rainy days I give up and stay inside.... sometimes. Insanity runs in the family.

No shops take fish or water lilies, Philip. Had to Craig's list them since no one at work wants any more. I'm such a big baby I almost didn't let them go. A really nice lady took them (she's a caregiver for her mom dealing with cancer and elderly friend). she even sent photos today with some of the plants I loaded her up with planted around the pond.

Eileen I hope the spring weather continues. I'm ready :stew1:

Cherylad I am ready for more fun! So sad that I have to work to support my gardening habit.
