It's been a crazy month around here, and between working, housework and soccer 3 nights a week, there doesn't seem to be any time left to garden. This weekend, 2 out of 3 kids are away and the 3rd is amusing herself so it's out to the gardens I go!
The Wisteria has finished blooming and looks bare on the arbor. I wanted to plant an annual vine on the other side, but in the end I found a clematis vine on sale. It has been planted on the right side of the arbor, so I hope it fills in that side next season.

Looking down I spot this Zinnia. I planted this from seed, but I don't remember seeing this color before.

To the left I spot the first bloom of the 'Blue Bird' Hibiscus purchased at a school fundraiser

The beautiful blooms of Lavetera have been missing from my garden for a few years. This year I have fallen in love with them again

The birds planted this for me

This Hibiscus bloom was a surprise! I was given a small cutting this spring and had forgotten I had planted it!

An old fashioned favorite, white 4 o'clocks almost glow

Ligularia and a butterfly. The butterflies are very sparse this year and it was a welcome sight

I love the cheery blooms of Rudbeckia

On the other side, the annuals are filling in nicely

    A few Daylilys

Tucked away in a shady corner, I almost forget I have this pretty Astilbe

Netty, Your gardens are beautiful ans very well kept!!! I don't know where the 'Chaotic Gardener' nickname comes from. BTH I love the blue of balloon flowers too, & that lavetera is gorgeous. Is it an annual?

Oh boy those photographs were well worth waiting for. You have a garden to be proud of Netty and such a wonderful array of blooms that I simply can't pick a favourite from among them. I hope you enjoyed your time in the garden. :-D

Beautiful blooms and gardens. I'm so glad you had the time to enjoy and photograph them for us.
The other day, I was just sitting under the shade tree... for a couple of hours. Hubby asked what was wrong.(Usually I'm doing something.) I said nothing's wrong, I'm just sitting here hanging out and visiting with my flowers/plants! :stew2:
