We have had hot dry weather for the past week and a half, and my maters are finally starting to turn. My Big Boy plant has 2 that are almost ripe, so good eating by the weekend! Both plants are loaded with about 60 maters on 2 plants. Can't hardly wait for that big juicy slice!

If I lived nearer to you I'd be more than happy to share your tomatoes with you. ;) Here's hoping the weather stays fine so that they all ripen nicely for you. :-D

I had them caged in until they got well established. Then they got too big and the coons haven't bothered them. Thy only destroy new plantings for some reason.

Hahaha, Captain. When I first read that I thought you'd kept the raccoons caged until the tomatoes came out, and thought, "How the the heck did he do that?"

Just tastes better when you grow it yourself, doesn't it? Well, don't know about how raccoons taste when you grow them yourself, lol...
