The cold front came through yesterday and really cooled things off. We got 1/4 inch of rain too. Could have been more, but I am happy with what we got. Only supposed to get to 83 F today instead of the 93 that we have been having. Last night it got down to 63 and right now at 10:30 am it's only 73. The house is open and it feels nice. Got a lot of work done this morning too. I mowed off all of the ditch lilly beds, that took almost an hour, then I trimmed up the shrubs at the top of the retaining wall. Also trimmed up the dying greenery from the Bleeding Hearts and pulled a few weeds that had come up. Got some bloom stalks from the Gold Lillys trimmed off too. So now I think I will rest the remainder of the day!
Phew I think you deserve a rest after all that graft too CK. It's so nice when the weather cools down after a really hot spell - it seems to energise you doesn't it? Just don't do too much or you won't have time to appreciate it!! :-D
