Such a busy time of year for the children with rehersals and practises and events going on, and today Jessica has her first piano exam, grade 1. She is very nervous but has been working hard so fingers crossed she will do well. Spare a thought at 12.10 uk time. :-D

Oh EJ, this takes me back to when I was a child and taking my piano lessens. The room I took the exam in seemed huge to me and I had to walk across it towards the piano, the nerves were really beginning to kick in.
Good luck to Jessica, I am sure she will do well.

Yea, Jessica, you can do it. And considering the time difference, you probably already have. Hope you weren't too nervous.

Awe Jessicca it will all be over with by now and I am sure you have done very well, I remember mine i did up to grade 8 and every single exam had me quaking a big old piano in an empty room with the examiner in, I went to Preston for mine and never enjoyed the exams but the sense of achievement is worth all the worries.

Thanks all. She did really well - we were and are very proud. She coped with the nerves and played beautifully. Now the agony, waiting to hear if she passed!

My fingers are tightly crossed for Jessica although I just know she will have passed her exam. :-D
I hated piano lessons as a child as the teacher rapped by knuckles with a ruler every time I made a mistake. Needless to say I made even more mistakes and decided that the piano wasn't for me - shame really as I was very keen to learn. Maybe if I'd had a better teacher.....
