I can't log in to GardenStew through FireFox, but it works fine in IE. The problem is I don't like to use IE because of the non-existing ad-blocker.

Now, what do I do? Switch to Google Chrome?

I get no message at all, Palustris. It just goes back to the start page cool as a cucumber. I'm going slightly mad here, checking my security settings, updating the Java and Adobe just in case and struggling to find out what on earth the problem might be.

Droopy.. sorry you're having problems. I also use FF and have no problems. Maybe you should restart your computer? That helps me sometimes when i am having issues. Hope it works for you! :D

Well, I've started it twice since I discovered this problem, and it's still a problem. And I still haven't figured out what causes it.

Frank can probably give you some ideas of what could be the problem. Is this on your new computer or the one you are borrowing?

The new one, toni. I wouldn't ask for advice if it were the borrowed one, since it's not staying here for much longer.

Wow, I didn't realize that you would get the new one all ready to go that quickly. The withdrawal symptoms didn't have time to really develope did they ;)

I have no idea what I am talking about but from listening to my hubby's comments at times like this in the past, it sounds like a configuration problem. But that doesn't help you out.

No. :( FF works fine on other forums, but not this one, and not the hobby-related one either. And I do wonder why.

I just have to ask the obvious first Droopy, are cookies enabled?
I know Bunkie was having similar problems a few months back, but they seemed to sort themselves out on their own, strange.
Also it's a longshot but try restarting your modem.

If Frank's suggestions do not work, then try going to the FF Help pages and Forum, they are very good I found.

Cookies are enabled. I'll try restarting the modem and check out the FF help pages. :) Thank you for helping me out here, people.

A possible cause is the file that stores cookies may be corrupt.
To test this close Firefox, go to your profile folder and rename cookies.sqlite to cookies.tmp
Restart Firefox, log into those sites and then see if it remembers the logins.

This webpage may be helpful in understanding how to find and what the "Profile Folder" is:
