Yup, today we had a barbeque. Just us, and just sausages, burgers and chicken with a lovely green salad and nice bread. It was the kids idea as we spent the day in the garden building our new and improved pond. I just love these bright spring days!

Mmm, nothing better than a BBQ after a day in the garden. I BBQ year round here because I refuse to cook a steak any other way. It sure is a lot nicer to cook outside now that the weather is getting warmer.

Frank, do you take their clothes off first? You must marinate them in Gnome juice!

We barbecue all year. The gas grill is just outside the back door and my husband keeps the snow off of it regularly.

Well we had another tonight and as it is Good Friday, we had Marks parents over to join us. Another busy day in the garden - trimmed the lining to the pond, went out and brought turf for the front edge and slate for the back then prepared the area that needs returfing....then the olds arrived so a bottle of red was cracked open, a couple of beers, a big chicken was flung on the grill along with some new season lamb chops and some sausages. Lashings of salad, jacket spuds, corn on the cob and couscous salads all followed by home made apple pie. Another great day!
