    Took this tonight so I had to use flash which I don't like. Never seen one in the garden before,but this one was on the rail round the deck.

    Owl! Oh, they're the cutest birds. I so like their big, round eyes. They look eternally curious. What a lucky chap you are. We hear them around here but I've never been fortunate enough to see one close up.

    Oh my!! :eek: I'd love to get a shot like that of one of our resident Tawny Owls. The best I could do was sketch one a while back. Fantastic photograph!! :D

    Wonderful photo, can even see the feathery feet. Bet he's keeping the mice off the deck. What type of owl is it?

    Oh wow! Fantastic shot Kildale! I've never seen any Owls around here but I know there must be lots. I find their droppings.

    Thank you all for the comments, it is a barred owl I believe. We have also had so much construction here it surprised me that they were still around.

    We have some around , but hubby sees them at nite , not me. Wah.

    What a beautiful shot. We do get owls in our village, but never up close and personal like that! Fabulous photograph.
