I picked my first tomatoes today. They weren't completely ripe yet, but I figured the longer I let them go, the better the chance that the racoons would get them. So they will finish ripening on the back porch. I have 2 more that I will pick in a couple of days. I picked one Goliath and 2 Early Girls. I have a 3rd plant, a standard that has a meter on it that is getting huge. It already is bigger than a coffee cup and isn't showing any signs of turning yet. When I pick it I will get a pic of it.

How did they taste? I'm certain that knowing you cheated the racoons out of them added an extra flavour.

Haven't eaten them yet. They need a few more days of ripening.

I'm salivating while waiting for my toms to turn. I know we have fox, rabbits, and squirrels - no raccoons, I hope! Enjoy that sweetie.
