Nice blooms. :D Your pond looks lovely too. I suggest you do the rounds of the local nurseries and check out which plants that like your climate and soil conditions. Making a new garden is such fun! Good luck.

I love the pond you've built and the plants from the front garden. Droopy's suggestion is a good one to get you started filling in those beds at the back. Do let us see more photographs when you start filling in the beds with your choice of plants.

Welcome! From Maryland. You've got some great spaces there. Are you going to include shrubs and bushes too, or just flowers?

I hope you enjoy it here!

thanks for the replies. i like that you like my pics. i love to take pics and share. im glad i have a place to do that now so people can enjoy them as much as i do! i do plan on putting shrubs/bushes against the fence line and the putting perennials all around.I very much like the dense but controlled look. i have been to nurserys, just cant make up my mind!

this is the wisteria area that is still bein worked on. the flower beds are on either side of the wisteria. we used more broken concrete here to give it that paver look. now we just need to add some sand and river rock!

What a great start on your garden. Lots of wonderfully prepared areas for the plants.

I would suggest that if you are having troubles deciding what perennials to plant where, start buying and planting annuals. They will give you color for this season, get you even more excited about gardening and fill in those empty areas while you are making up your mind on the perennials...you won't get so anxious about what to plant if there is already color there while you are planning. ;)

Also, you can collect seeds from the annuals that you like and have them as fillers for next seasons garden.
