Hi Gang I was wondering have any of you had what they call spacemaster cucumber bush- or- sweet 100 cherry tomatoes and last but not least Roma II flat green beans These are suppose to be bushes I thought they wouldn't take up so much room in my little garden, What do you all think? I am really just starting on veggie gardens , I never had one I'm a little afraid of it I don't want everything to die on me. I would like to have a few more things like peppers - watermelon onions-hot peppers . is there any squash that doesn't take up a lot of room ? my space is about 25x 30 I just want to make sure I have plenty of room.
    Thank you all for everything
    Margie

i grow my romas in pots since they are determinate toms so they dont get that big. I think the container size would play into how large they get as well and you can always top the plant but it shouldnt be necessary with roma from my experience but some might have had large roma plants?

im also growing sweet hybrid 100's and i think i remember growing it in the ground and it grew but wasnt that large. I think the nutes will play some role in their size and sun with stretching an all..

watermelons will grow long vines but you can get some specialised ones called sugar bush that have vines that only grow 3 - 3 1/2 feet long.

peppers and onions can definitely be grown in pots. My squash grew quite big in the ground and was probably 4 x 4 in length width size per plant.

not real sure about green beans but im sure they can be grown up something without too much room and the same with the cucumbers.

    Hi
Your cucs and toms could take up some less space if their vined up onto twine. I have picked up the sweet cherry toms and soe pickling cucs and for the 3rd year we plan on having them grow upward on twines. I'll also be growing small sweet watermelon, acorn squash, pumpkins, cantaloupes. These will all take up space in a separate part of my garden.

There is a bush variety of summer squash and bush green beans. I grew spinach though it's too late for those now. Good luck with your garden.
