So far so good, I have beaten the dreaded blight....for now. So yesterday, I picked my first 3 tomatoes of the year. They are outside, so slower to ripen than the greenhouse varieties, and they are three little cherry plums.

I also picked a handful of lovely white alpine strawberries, a few red straggles and we scrumped a few loganberries from a derelict plot.

And see out multi coloured carrots! The purple ones are supposidly higher in vitamin c than the orange ones.

I wonder why someone thought it was a good idea to change carrots from purple (their origional colour) to the orange ones we know now? I would love to have a go at growing those purple ones next year that's for sure. :-D
