Usually we only see one otter down at the lagoon, and not very often. Today there were 5, they were a little ways off so the picture may not be very good.
A couple have caught a fish.

That is so cool. You actually get to see these Otters? The only time we get to see them is in a zoo. Seems you get to see many differant kinds of birds and animals.

Yes, we have a great variety of birds etc down at the lagoon. Most of the ducks are arriving now for their winter stay. Saw some megansers today but the otters chased everything away. Much better than seeing them in zoo's etc.

I remember once sitting by the side of a loch in Skye watching for otters. I was lucky enough to see two after many hours, and what seemed like thousands of midge bites. However, I was so excited that I clean forgot to take any photographs.
I love your shot Kildale. Am I right to presume that the five otters are a mother and her four kits? How I wish Id been there with you watching them.

Otters are such lovely animals. They're beginning to multiply and spread out again here, and I've heard people tell us that they've seen them about in our area. I hope we'll get to see some too soon. In the meantime I'm glad you're sharing yours, Kildale.
