It suddenly struck my partner how pretty the flowers were in the flower garden, so she said that she was going to take some pics. Here is a selection. I hope you like them as much as I do.
Actually it's amazing that they turned-out so well, because the lighting was really bad that day. Overcast and yet very sharp light.

What a gorgeous place....I love the curved path and the butterfly bush is so--------------big and beautiful. I just planted one this spring but ours do not get anywhere close to that size here. I have to cut it back in the spring they say...such a beautiful area with so many different plants...Keep those pictures coming Sjoerd....Sherry

Well Sherry, some Buddleia's are shortish--it's in their genes. others can get quite tall, as you can see.
To get the best out of your bush is a question of pruning. First you decide how you want your bush to look: tall short wide or narrow. Then you prune it soi tht it will take on that shape.

Which one do you have? Do you have a pic?

It's a paradise, Sjoerd. I could spend all day just sitting and wandering through that maze of gorgeousness. Thanks so much for the tour.

Lovely! Our Lucifers start in a couple of months' time, but the Phlox isn't that far off. Those arches are so perfectly placed, I want to stroll through them. :D Our butterfly bush freezes back a lot every winter, so we never know how big it will be in summer.

I really have to stop looking at the photos of your garden Sjoerd, it is so beautiful and makes me so jealous. But I do keep looking because it is so beautiful.

The Lucifer is a Crocosmia, isn't it? My 'Emily McKenzie' hasn't bloomed yet but the leaves are looking good.

Agree with everyone. It is stunning and so much colour. As I said before, I hope you partner takes armfuls of flowers home with her.
