My seeds arrived from Select Seeds and Burpees today. I got Lemon Drop Torenia, Happy Faces Torenia, and African Impatien Blondie from Burpees. From Select Seeds: Morning Glory Rosita, Standing Cypress, Sunset Hibiscus,African Foxglove, and a free pack Fig Hollyhock. Of course, this is only a portion of what I wanted to order, but I used immense and unheard of restraint. Makes me anxious for spring, can't wait.
They all sound so great .I can't wait to see them in bloom.Good luck with all of them .I do hope they all do good.I'm sure you will let us know when they come up.That sound like a great assortment .I want to go to Bo Bo's Nursery soon to see what they have.
Delicious seeds. I not only fondle the seed packs I take the seeds out and look at them, sometimes count them. Oh Spring.
Oh Bethie you are too cute! I thought I was the only one attracted to seed packs I will look through them, alphabetize them, read them and then read them again! Isn't it funny how such a tiny little thing can make us so happy? Deanna :-D
I guess we all get excited by the sheer possibilities contained in a tiny seed. No April, I save "my precious" for my doggies.
cajunbelle Your in Torina's? I had 2 this winter .. And the pink was gorgous.. Now I guess I am out of them.. They quit and doubt if there are seeds..Are the seeds tiny? Thanks. barb

barb, the seeds are very tiny, I can never find them to pick and save, I think they do like impatiens and pop open and scatter. They may reseed, I have them do that sometime. Eileen, Richard kind of rolls his eyes too, but at least it is only seeds we are ordering, not diamonds or emeralds.
Seeds, to me, are far more precious than any old diamonds or emeralds Sharon. You can't watch them grow with anticipation, you can't smell their wonderful scent and you can't feel the texture of their petals and leaves. You don't have to look after them and protect them from bad weather so what's the point of precious stones? :-?
Phew, and I thought it was only me that suffered in this way. A friend has just sent me a selection of fancy seeds, and I am going to sow them today. My problem is, I run out of seed tray or pot room!
planting seeds You can plant seeds in any types of containers. Margarine tubs, egg cartons...... However they do take space........ Thanks about TOrinas I had picked off something and hoped it was the seeds......Put something into a wet towel in a baggie to see if it germinates. They were lovely , but took really long to bloom. barb
