Hello all, Ive been growing corriander in my garden and using it pretty often for cooking. However weve had a lot of sun down here and ive not been using it for a month or so. I went out to take a look today and its now about 3 feet high and has white flowers all over it! Is it still usable or should i just leave it looking pretty :)

This an herb/spice combo plant. You planted Coriander seeds but the leafy herb that grows is Cilantro. In hot weather it bolts and produces the spice- Coriander seeds. Both of which are used in cooking.

It is cool weather crop doing better in Spring and Fall.
You can cut off the flowers/seed heads and have usable foliage for a while longer. Giving it more shade and water during the hottest part of the day might help extend it some too.
Since it is a fast growing annual, plant successive crops to provide a continuing supply of Cilantro and Coriander seeds.

If you use the seeds before they have dried they will have a combination flavor of both Cilantro and Coriander.
