You can tell when it's been gray for a couple of days. I have this need for colour so I dig out the cd's and lave a look.
I like orange and found this nice little flower which really is bright in the summer. I wonder what you call it, here it is known as Havikskruid.

This Buddleia is so dark purple...but still it's richness of colour helps brighten my day.

Thanks for some color Sjoerd. I feel the exact same way during the dreary days of winter. We call the first one "Hawkweed" here...not the most flattering of names.

We call the first one Fox and Cubs Sjoerd but, as Netty says, it's also called Hawkweed. Keep those piccies coming as they go a long way to cheering us all up!! :-D

Havikskruid means "hawksherb" in Dutch, so that's a similarity.Fox and cubs......
I wonder where the names came from anyway.
I'm glad you liked the splash of colour too!

I love orange in the garden too. I needed color the other day so I have been adding my pictures to the new garden area of my album. Take a peek when you have time. I am not done with flowers 2008, still a work in progress.

I enjoyed these, Sjoerd. the orange is pretty and the Heliotrope is dramatic color in real time. I just wish they were perennial. Thanks a bunch.

Thanks for those very nice copmments guys...
Those flowers are not Heliotrope though, they're Buddleja davidii 'Black Knight', or butterfluy bush I think they are called in english.

BTW Sherry--where can I find your albumn?
