Too wet and cold to garden so I went round and took these. There were more, but I was soaked so I stopped. To how many can you put a name? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v172/Berghill/Coldmayflowers/ No 93 is for EJ who supplied the seeds, so many years ago, sigh!
They're beautiful! Name all 102? Let's see... Weigelia, Sedum, Geranium, Saponaria?, Saxifraga, Erodium, don't know, another Saxifraga, Gypsophila, Erodium again, some kind of Achillea, I'll stop now! I love your Allium, and the rest are all gorgeous too! We can't grow Rhodohypoxis outside here. Is #38 a Penstemon? You've got huge variety, and you're so much further along than me. What's #61, a peony? Which is it? It's gorgeous!
Cor Eric, those primulas certainly multiplied. Lovely to see so much colour during this really rather miserable May.
61 is a Centaureum montanum roseum. No Geraniums, they are all Erodium hybrids. Must admit to a weakness for Alliums. The Rhodohypoxis are all in one greenhouse or the other, though there were some outside on the crevice garden at one time.
Can't name them, except I think I see some chives in there, but they are all very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
The ones people think are Chives certainly are an Allium, but they are not Chives. The name will come to me eventually!
I never saw such a display of lovelies, I've been staring at those flowers with my mouth wide open for a very long time now. Again! I meant the red one before the red-hot poker, the colour is so vibrant it's unbelieveable.
The red flower before the Knifophia northiae is a tree Paeony, I think it is P. delavayi, but I grew it from seed so not absolutely positive. People who visit rarely go away empty handed. Only those with no gardens or who have been so many times thet have what we have already.
You're a good person! I like to share too, but unfortunately people around here aren't as keen on gardening as I am.
