I have encountered more odd garden bugs this year. This ones likes my potato plants. I thought it might be a Dragon fly but I am not so sure. We have lots of Dragon Flies here and none look like this. This is smaller and completely brown with clear wings. The Dragon Flies we have here are more colorful. Any ideas of what this little insect could be? Thanks for the information on this little guy. I didn't know if they were harmful and I should kill them off, or let them be. So I will let them explore the garden all they want. Thanks again!
That is great to know that they eat mosquitoes. I need all the help I can get in that area. I have never seen such a variety of insects as there is this year. Perhaps it is because of all the rain we have had.
I hear ya'! It's amazing how many mosquitoes there are considering how many things out there eat them, and that people are doing what they can to prevent them from breeding. Sheesh! (scratch, scratch!) We do everything we can to encourage hummingbirds, bats, birds, anoles, toads any wildlife that would like to eat them, to live in or at least visit our yard. Encouraging damsel flies/dragon flies is beyond my knowledge but I see them around, hopefully eating mosquitoes! There's plenty around any time of day or night.
