    Cute spider. However, not something the arachnophobia fans want in their garden. Hmmmm….. New garden tool kit: hoe, shovel, cultivator, .45 or 9mm automatic hand gun, gloves, pruners. :)

    I don't mind spiders as a rule BUT I think I'd freak out if that came anywhere near me. :eek:

    Jerry, your list is standard gardening equipment here in Texas!
    I'd scurry for the house if I saw that spider, and I generally like arachnids (notice I said "generally").

    Not only was that a wonderful article, but I've just spent the last 45 minuets scouring other articles about many other creatures that Piotr Naskrecki has written about.
    Thank you for sharing that link.
    Can you imagine how intimidating it would be to an intruder if you posted that spiders photo with the words "Premise protected by Giant Bird Eating Tarantulas!"

    I don't think I would try and kill that one with my hand if it was in my house....Hopefully I will never see one that large around here... ;)

    What a remarkable spider. It reminds me of a tarantula, a really big one! Thank you for posting the site. It was very interesting.
