This Sat. is the game between the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes. It's the biggest rivalry in the country. The game would be wild on any given year. But what makes this years game even wilder is that OSU is #1 and Michigan is #2. The game is here in Columbus and 30 miles from me. Ebay has prime seating tickets going at $5,000 each. This area will be really crazy come Sat. I have one of the best tickets available. It's in my recliner in front of my new 37" LCD, HDTV ! Go Buckeyes! Oh, I almost forgot. This rivalry has been going on for 103 years.
$5,000 a ticket - ridiculous - I detest ticket touts selling on ebay!!! So glad your going to enjoy the match from the comfort of yout own home CK. Hope the Buckeyes win. :-D
I will watch from my home also Capt. I am of course a Tiger fan LSU Tiger that is but just for this week I will root for the Buckeyes. In the early 80'sI had a friend who had season tickets they were $25 per game he gave them up in 2004 when they went to $195 per game.
I have a friend who used to get season tickets, but his connection passed away last year. He is in Phoenix now and said if he were here in Ohio, he would go! I think you can see more of the game on TV.
I'm not a football fan but since I have lived in Michigan all of my life, I would have to root for the Wolverines. Sorry Capt.
I'm going to root for the Buckeyes because its you Capt.I don't know much about either team .I only root for the Aggies and the Cowboys on pros.
I must be unamerican because I'm not a sports fan. I don't know much about football and we disconnected our TV again a few months ago. Our youngest lives in Wisconsin and roots for the UW Madison football team. I think they are the Badgers. He is also a great fan of the Greenbay Packers. A woman that brings her little boy to the library ask Dan if he knew anyone who lived in Wisconsin because her sister moved to Wisconsin and through where she worked she got season tickets to the Packers games and she wasn't a Packer fan. So, he put her in touch with Andy. Her sister said he could just have the tickets. She didn't want money for them. Isn't that nice? What a coincidence that Dan had a brother in Wisconsin who was a Packer fan. Dooley
Man things are really heating up in Columbus for this game. In the past few years they have had rioting whether the Buckeyes won or lost. So they are emptying all of the trash dumpsters so they can't set them on fire. It is illegal to have couches on the porch on campus, because they carry them into the streets and set them on fire. No parking on the streets as the students overturn the cars or set them on fire. No glass beer bottles being sold in stores near campus. And the police are working 12 hour shifts to try and curb the damage. Sign seen in front of a Methodist Church in Columbus. " Seek the Kingdom of God, then beat Michigan!"
The game is today at 3:30 pm. The local news this morning showed the Ebay web page where someone had 2 tickets for sale. Front row on the 50 yard line. The price was $100,000. They hadn't sold yet! I wonder why?
