We were watching a science show on TV that dealt with fractile geometry. I am mathmatically challenged, but found the idea of fractile geometry occuring across life's spectrum to be amazing. When we saw this sunset last night, I immediately thought of fractile geometry, and the pattern the sun made behind the cloud as a fractile pattern.

Please forgive my mathmatical ignorance, and just enjoy the colors and patterns.

Jane that was spectacular. i don't get to see the sunset unless I am away from home at night time, which doesn't happen very often. The Elevation of our backyard/woods doesn't allow for the western view.

Awesome photos Jane. I don't think I've seen a sunset with so much going on.... shapes, colors, shadows. Nicely done.

I was never any good at geometry at school, never mind fracile geometry, but I know what I like. What a stunningly beautiful sunset Jane.

    Very nice picture Deanna,
i like the almost Amber rays coming out from beyond the cloud,..there is always something striking about a Sunset,..but Fractile Geometry,..lol,..not as romantic as a sunset.

An interesting observation as several geometric shapes can be found in the sunlight rays. The cloud edges fit more with chaos theory. Throwing the math away, nice sunset picture.
