Lovely lovely generous gardeners. I do believe we are a giving gang of people and it was proven to me today at work. Every other Thursday I work in a fab woodland garden in the back of beyond and it is joy, packed with amazing traditional plants. Today they wanted their Phlomis thinned out as it has formed many massive clumps. I could have replanted it around their garden where they have gaps, but no, Emma, take it, put it in your garden, that and these, and this. I now have masses of lovely things to try and find room for in my garden, which I can assure you, isn't a complaint. I have only known these people for a short while, but all of the people I garden for give me seedlings, cuttings, seeds and chunks of plants without me even asking. They just like to spread the beauty, and I for one aint complaining.
Hey if you run out of space for all those plants and seedlings EJ you know where I live!! Seriously though - real gardeners are such genuine people who just love to share with each other. Do show us piccies of your freebies won't you?
Lucky you! Isn't it wonderful to receive growing gifts? And then, when they need dividing, to pass some on to other gardeners. I like to share too.
I have experienced this over and over. I love separating my hostas and flowers that will stand it and give them away. There is just something about giving that makes a heart warm.
I would have to agree with you on that one. When My flowers are in full bloom I cut some and take them to the hospital for people. Feels so good.
