Rich and I were standing outside talking when something went splat. Made a big noise and missed Rich's head by a couple of inches. A crow had a chicken egg from next door and dropped it. Some of the shell is at least 8 ft. away. It was kind of like a mini bomb.

However did the crow manage to grab the egg in the first plsce? The hen must have laid it outside as I can't se the crow getting away with entering a chicken house. Thank goodness it missed Rich as that would have been rather painful and the mess it would have caused if it had landed on his head!!

That was a crow….right? Not a drone disguised as a crow.

Sounds like a practice run from some weird government covert ops program using crows to get egg on political opponents' faces. Your tax dollars at work. :)

A clever crow loses out on lunch. That will teach the hen to lay her eggs in the nesting box next time.

Now Donna S, You know that the crow didn't aim for Rich, don't you?? :-D

I have had my roosters rear their little heads and beak, hitting an egg, breaking it and running with it gobbling it up fast. Needless to say those roosters were out the door fast.

I have also seen crows carry off while slices of bread into the woods. I can totally understand how a crow could snatch up a chicken egg and carry it until he had to drop it. right on rich's head, almost. :-D

I know those egg shells filled with confetti that kids like at easter hurt quite a bit when they hit your head, a real egg dropped from any height could have caused some major hurt. Glad it missed him.
