FRIED GREEN TOMATOES Slice tomatoes and salt & pepper to taste. Dredge in 1/2 c. flour Dip in egg/milk bath. Dredge in mix of 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 c. cornmeal, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder. Dip into panko or Italian bread crumbs. Sprinkle with bacon bits. Fry. Brunch. I could eat the whole plate. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden )
Oh, Yum Donna. I grow a variety that is called "Fried green Tomatoes". It works wonderfully for the recipe. I order the seeds from totally tomatoes.
