    I found this Glenda:

People look over the destruction after a tornado tore through the area in Lady Lake, Florida. At least 19 persons were killed by tornadoes and electrical storms that hit central Florida, the spokesman for Lake County told AFP, as crews searched the area for more victims.(AFP/Getty Images/Joe Raedle)

Oh I do hope everyone is OK and that they find no more fatalities.

My oldest brother has a winter place down there. They are in Leesburg. That's about 8 miles from where they went through. The last I heard was there were 7 tornados and the one that did all the damage was on the ground through four counties. The last I heard ws an estimate of a minimum of 500 homes totally destroyed. 19 dead, but they expect that number to go up. My brother and his wife are ok with no damage. They did get 2 3/4 inches of rain in an hour. They have a weather radio that went off and warned them about the storms.

I was watching the news about the tornado earlier. It was devastating, some areas were completely leveled. I hope they don't have any more deaths. Glad your brother and his wife are okay capt.

I got another email from my brother this morning. The area called The Villages has about 50,000 people there. It is made up to look like villages for the different sections. He said that 4 of the villages are shut down that there is so much damage and they turned off power to them They are not letting anyone into them, to keep out looters. That area is a pretty exclusive area.

You know I just can't understand people, who, after a disaster has struck, can think of nothing else but stealing!! :-x Why can't they put their energies into helping those who have lost everything instead. :-? The last thought on my mind would be to take from the victims - no matter how rich or poor they may have been. :(

Glad your loved ones are safe, Captain!

I agree wholeheartedly with Eileen about people turning to stealing as soon as something like this happens - it's disgraceful! :'(

The devastation in Florida is awful. I was instantly taken back to August 29th 05 when Katrina flattened New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Not all that much is cleaned up here yet. I hope things go better and faster for Florida.

Pond they are saying this devestated area is compared to a large hurricane.
I like Eileen think, the people that loot from
these areas are the scum of the earth.

There are signs all over NO in front of homes and businesses, some occupied, some not: "Looters will be shot!!" But the looting continues daily. And cops don't even respond. If you are trying to rebuild and bring in copper pipes or a toilet or drywall or whatever and go to the truck to get more, the first is stolen before they return. I would sit there with a gun, I swear. And I am someone who won't even kill anything that lives.
