It was a crazy non-summer. The aluminum siding has mildewed through the summer and I have been lax at getting it washed off. I have even seen cars/trucks covered in green slime (what ever happened to road dirt?). So much for the summer that wasn't and the cool damp weather.

Last night the snow came. The granny smith apple at the front door had just finally dropped its leaves so I went out and raked the skiff of snow from the walkway with the leaves. Strange kind of fall/winter clean up no doubt.

It is so nice to see the white flakes falling and covering up all the yard work I didn't get cleaned up this fall.

Where is the path to the bench? It was there. It was one of my few completed jobs this fall. ( photo / image / picture from Jewell's Garden )

Gargolye and friend are turning green. It only took 10 years and a very cool, damp summer. ( photo / image / picture from Jewell's Garden )

It is wonderful seeing some changes in the weather. Hope everyone is enjoying the New Year.

Lovely flowers. :D I'm happy if you're happy, and snow certainly beats mildew and algae growth. :D

Hi Jewell! Your gardens look beautiful with the fluffy white snowy coat. It certainly has been some interesting weather of late, huh?

    I didn't know gargoyle's liked that snow. :-D
It's pretty... as long as I don't have to deal with it.
And... I bet Toni is envious of all that white stuff. ;)

Isn't it great how snow makes everything look soooo good?
We've had green algae growth around here, especially on the greenhouse glass, but the frost melting and reforming seems to be getting rid of it so I can keep on be lazy for a little longer. :p

The fluffy white stuff always looks good the first snowfall. Nice pictures.
