I like the edging on your bed PL. Where did you get it from?

Frank, you took the words right out of my mouth. I have never seen edging like that and have been looking at different types trying to make up my mind what I want. I really like this one.

I found the brick edging at Menards, but most home improvement centers should carry it. Menards is the cheapest though, when on sale.

They're crescent shaped bricks, it takes about 3 of them to cover a foot. Nice thing about them is you can make sweeping curves without any right angles.

Yep, Menards. Where you save big money. Us midwesterners all have Menards charge cards in our wallets. I must have over 500 of those red crescent edgers all around the place. They go all around the foundation plantings around the house, and they border my herb garden. Once you start, you can't stop!

And we get a 2% rebate on purchases now, instead of 1%! Those edgers are on sale this week at Menards by the way. I spend a lot of $ at Menards.

Did you happen to notice the ones they had this year didn't quite match in size to years' past? That was a bit disturbing when I was short about 10 in the front garden and they didn't match. But now I don't notice it unless I'm really looking.

What I've noticed the most about those is the change in thickness over the years. The overall diameter hasn't changed much, but they sure get thinner year by year. And forget color matching, but the sun fades them uniformly over time. I don't know what I'd do without Menards. Sure, they're always out of stock of what I want at the moment, and some of the stuff is imported crap, but you cannot beat the price. A Home Depot was built here a few years back, and they just don't compare - too expensive.

Do you have Mill's Fleet Farms (or farm & fleet) there?

No we don't, but I wish we did. We stopped at one in Mason City and our jaws dropped at everything they carried.

Fleet Farm's motto is "If we don't have it, you don't need it." The local one isn't big on landscape supplies, but they have a greenhouse now and a nice variety of statuary and fountains.
