I believe we took down our fence since my last visit here. It was in need of repair, so it was easier to remove it than to replace it. It left us with an odd shaped garden in the middle of our front yard, that I've gradually been trying to update to look good from all sides. The huge clematis that was on the fence is gone, as is the trumpet vine. Miss the clematis, not the trumpet vine so much. Probably a Batik... Coral Bells We removed the entire garden on the side of the house. The blackberries are gone as are the wildflowers. The utility companies are very happy about that! I just had too much garden for my ability to keep up. All my big back gardens are still there, but that's a post for another day. This variegated Weigela is the only survivor of the side garden, I couldn't bear to dig it up.
Beautiful, just beautiful!! I love all the Iris colors. Your front porch looks so inviting, that would be a great place to sit and watch a rainy day happening.
Good Grief, PL--thisa is quite a spread. I think that I have enjoyed it so much because I am so cplour-poor here. We are still languishing in the last throws of winter. Nothing going on here, so it is really good to see what you have going on there. Well done, you!
Thanks everyone. I've been on the mend health wise over the winter, but am starting to feel better just in time for gardening season! It's good to be back.
Gosh what a lovely transformation!! I'm so glad you're feeling better now and can enjoy your garden to the full again. One day I hope my own garden will look as lovely as yours.
