I had more that just frost on the pumpkins the morning. My bird baths were frozen over. Had to get out there and chisel threw the ice. Then down to the basement to find my bird bath heater. I guess this is just a small preview of what is to come. Hopefully our winter won't be like the last. Dec. 12th 2010 ( photo / image / picture from Tooty2shoes's Garden ) Sorry for the reminder. I must have frost on the brain this morning.
I'm keeping everything crossed that this winter isn't a repeat of last years too. Five foot snow drifts weren't much fun.
I am right there with you...although I have already heard we are in for a colder and snowier winter than normal.... :'( I guess it is a good thing my DH just got a new snow plow and salt spreader...SIGH!!!and if our summer is any indication of the winter to come we are in for a whopper!!! Tooty, when I saw your picture I thought it was from this morning. I was glad for you when I realized it was last years picture.
I hope i beat the snow here and get back to Texas before it hits.I'm sure most of you know how I feel about snow .I hate it so bad.It is pretty but I'm cold all of the time here.We had no summer maybe 3 days of 100 degrees .
I don't mind looking at it but each year I hate shoveling and walking or driving through the high snow to feed my birds in the corner of the lot....they will be on their own for winter in 10 years or less...or they will come up to the patio to eat..
Oh yuk! I'm so sorry for your pumpkins and for you too. I checked your location and nearly fainted when I read "Denmark" but then I spotted the "Wis." behind. I can be so slow at times.
Droopy it would be neat to live in the country of Denmark. Of course the town of Denmark here in Wis. was settled by the Danish. In the surrounding area we also had a large Czech population at one time. I love history and find it interesting to see how they lived their everyday lives say 100 yrs ago. They are predicting some possible snow for next week. That is way to early.
