It is sooo cold here this morning, again!, that my greenhouse is frozen shut. Dawg gone it! I can't even get inside to check my plants. I am so sick of this weather!

And another snow apocalypse is on its way for the weekend.

Here is how cold it is here with a watermain break overnight. We got up and it was 0f.

    Netty ,
I edited the post after I checked the news...take a look at the pictures from Cleveland this morning.

I am feeling your pain. I am getting so sick of it too. Wish I could find some of that global warming.

I just saw a snow map for Ohio for this weekend. Cleveland area 8" to 12 inches. The same for me just northwest of Columbus. But there is a band north of us where it's 12 to 18 inches. It was rated as 40% confidence.

Yea, we are in for the same thing on Sunday. Carolyn, the door may have frozen shut from condensation in the inside. Once you get in there think about putting a fan against the door so condensation doesn't drip down by the threshold. I have a sliding door and I keep a fan in the door and runner and it has stopped freezing.

Barb, It does condensate and drip down the door, but It is so cold the fan can't keep enough of the water away from the threshold before it freezes at the bottom. I even had a sheet of insulation on the outside of the door overnight (Greenacres is the place for me.... :smt034 :smt035 :smt117 :setc_006: ) incredible professional looking set up! not!. I am just so tired of the cold.

It was sunny yesterday and Mr. Monk was sitting on a planter box surveying the snow in the yard. He was probably cursing the gophers and their predictions. I did not have the heart to tell him that another foot of snow is on the way. I wonder if the military sells surplus flamethrowers? I could get a head start on melting the snow. :)

Hey Carolyn, interested in going half on a surplus flamethrower ?

I feel so sorry for all of you. I am sick of the cold weather, but at least I don't have the snow and ice to contend with.

Kosta kid, My husband has a list of water lines to go fix as soon as the weather warms up a bit. Most of them are at a trailer park he does a lot of work for, but there are many in the city, villages and towns all around us. We had church canceled one morning a few weeks ago due to a water main break.. It isn't getting better any time soon it looks like. Maybe at the end of next week we will see above freezing. I didn't let the chickens out of the hen house yesterday or today. It is too cold to leave the door open as the eggs will freeze and crack if I miss picking them up within a couple hours of being laid and I am not running out there several times a day to check on them.

Kevin is on the cemetery board in town and it has been brutal. I feel sorry for the families who need to have a funeral. We had one yesterday morning at church and the day started out at 0f.

When we lived in upstate NY, many funeral homes had "storage crypts" where bodies would be held until the ground thawed enough to dig graves.
I am feeling for all of you suffering through a horrific winter. May it end soon, and end warm!
