Hi Haven't posted for a long time .Lately I have been fascinated by the work of Fukuoka and his Ons straw revolution . I was wondering if there are other Fukuoka enthusiasts . For the uninitiated Fukuoka is a Japanese farmer with a fascinating system of growing sustainably . While you are at it you can have a look at this youtube video as well featuring Emilia Hazelip the queen of no till gardening
That was a very intresting clip. I've never heard of that technique before, but it does seem something to concider. The problem i am having is the potato part. I understand that the boxes will mulch and also kill growth already there, but, where do the potatoes themselves grow, above the boxes or under the boxes. since they planted the seedling under the boxes, i'm confused,, but then that is a normal state for me,,lol. But it is something to look further into,, thank you for posting that clip!
