$2.50 for both! There's a tiny bit of wicker coming undone on the plant stand, and it's dirty, but otherwise sound. Those three tiers are hinged, and fold up so that the stands all line up...I guess for storage. I may re-paint it, depending on where I decide to put it. I hope to fit it on my front porch, but it's narrow so I'm not sure if it will get in the way. I'll try it in a bit and see. Also I'm wondering if I should spray paint that iron decoration? I love it just the way it is, but once it's in the garden it will, for all intents and purposes, just disappear against the backdrop of the dark brown dirt, black mulch, the red brick and the deep green leaves. It's really cute, and so I'd like for it to be seen.
Great finds Ronni. Actually my first thought was that the iron decoration would look better with a lick of paint
The wicker that is coming loose can easily be repaired with a bit of glue (the brown woodworker's glue will last longer than the white Elmer's type). Love the three tiers, and please show us what you do with it! Frank is right--the ironwork will show up better if painted, especially if it's a light color that will show up against your greenery. Lucky you--all we have at garage sales around here are old clothing, and there is nothing you can do with old clothing in the garden, except a scarecrow, or perhaps cut into strips for plant ties, or . . . .
Really nice finds. I love wicker, it won't hold up very long in our heat and relentless sun but I love wicker. Looking forward to seeing what you plant in it. The ironwork piece...ummmm, I have a nice patch of pink Evening Primrose that it would look really cute standing in....
Both are great finds Ronni. I'd imagine the wicker stand would need a protected area... at least around here with the heat & humidity. But for $2.50... I wouldn't have passed it up either. And that cute wired bird & house is adorable. I'm sure you'll figure out a spot that it will be seen and admired.
