Every thing seems to be blooming and the berries are ripening faster than I can keep up with. Our early hot spring and hotter summer has left me in the never ending chore of playing catch up with the weeds and watering. Then I heard that this El NiƱo weather pattern will continue through next year.:sulk:

The yard is a hodgepodge of blooms. My attempts at relocating phlox and hydrangea were semi successful. Nothing died and the hydrangeas look much happier in the shade. I cut them back to the ground last fall when I transplanted them and now they are about 2 feet tall. The phlox are very fragrant and are in more beds. I seem to have developed a few more colors also. Last nights light rain, the first in weeks made the mushrooms sprout in the veggie garden bed. It is nice to know lots of good things are going on down beneath the soil surface. Summer is in full swing for sure. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
