While going around our property preparing the ground for flowers and trees, we have come across a lot of grubs. They are the white kind with orange heads. I've never seen these before, so I'm wondering if we need to somehow get rid of them before we can proceed with planting. Any insight would be appreciated.

Those grubs will become beetles (June bugs, Japanese beetle, etc) but in the grub stage they eat the roots of grass and some plants.
Any you find you can squish or kill in some simple way. I usually throw them out into the street for either cars to run over or birds to eat.

I would get the grubs under control as soon as possible. Not only do they eat the roots of your grass causing damage, the raccoons, skunks, and even birds like to eat them. They can do damage to your grass worse than you can imagine!
