Jewell, That is so cute. I could find so many uses for that little thing.

The good thing about this one is that there are lotsa windows. he can sit and smoke and watch the birdies.

The downside is that it will be cold due to the thinness of the glass and little insulation....
the upside of that is that for not too much money he can get a small space heater (elec or butane) and that will take enough of the edge off so that he can use it in the winter, spring and fall.

I use my little house to read and watch birds in sub-zero weather...and only one little space heater that runs on a small flask of butan/propane. The
The flasks cost ~1 euro and last for three hours.

Anyway...more info than you asked for, but I did want to comment on the house and give a couple of thoughts based on experience.

Good luck with that little beauty.

A garden home away from home. A refuge on a rainy day.

Thanks all, we did make the jump. I can look forward to "decorating" it in 4 to 6 weeks. Maybe a hardy cactus for one of those front windows? Something I can't grow outdoors in our damp cool weather. Citrus tree? :D

Sjoerd, David and I did talk about adding insulation where we could and maybe rug heaters. Warm feet, and you feel warm. I will also look into propane heaters. We hadn't thought of those.

Since he has been sitting out under a canopy with windy rain this will be luxury indeed. It should be fun. I am sure it will get lots of use from the both of us. Definitely not when there is smoke in the air though. I don't understand the "cigar thing". but David encourages the gardening and helps with the heavy work so I can't complain....too much.
