Thought these screenshots might be of interest. They show the design changes of the GardenStew homepage since 2004 to present day.

It was nice to see these arranged like this, Frank.
It is interesting to see how differently the homepage looks from the original one.

I remember each design change and every time thought how much it improved the site. I love the one we have now. :-D

Frank, as a relative newcomer to the Stew, I hadn't realized how much thought and effort has been put into developing and improving the site. Each change was a change for the better. You're going to have trouble improving the current look, though!

I joined in Jan '06 and really loved the look of the site then. The first changes you started making I was worried about but you have kept the forum so easy to wander through and with a look all it's own, friendly, welcoming and inviting.

Do you remember (of course you do since you did it) the background you added for a short time to fill up the white spaces? I think you changed them for the seasons or holidays?

Sort of funny that you posted this now. The other day at work, I had absolutely nothing to do.... but still had to be here. I took the time to look through some old posts. I actually even looked at every one in the "Garden Junque" forum!
I was thinking about how long GS has been in existence... and what made you start the forum in the first place?
Was also wondering who some of the first members were and how many are still around today?
And what happened to folks who seemed to have posted for a while and then completely disappeared? Did they suddenly stop love gardening? :-D
Anyhow Frank... you sure have put alot of work into GS... and it shows!
    Thanks! :smt023

I might be one of those people that Cherylad was talking about. I have not stopped gardening. I came to a onion post the other day and really noticed a differance on the front page of the forums. I could tell right away there'd been some more improvements. Franks working with our garden page website is really appreciated.
In short my garden in my commercial greenhouse has not done as well the last 2 years as I had hope, with that I guess comes dissappointment. I've also had family issues to take care of that is still ongoing. I have another garden going, I'm hoping for success this year.
A big Thankyou to frank for this website.

I arrived in July, 2005. I didn't like the changes at first because I don't find it easy to navigate through them. But, they do improve things. We had some fun times during the first couple of years. We still like Frank's gnomes. We still have fun times and we learn a lot. It's a great site. Thanks, Frank!
